Hello parents and students, I am excited to get to know you and share my knowledge of music with you! Picking up a new hobby whether for yourself or your child can be a challenging and rewarding experience, and I am here to help you find your way. At first your hand will hurt as it twists and turns into shapes it has never done before. The task at hand will seem impossible, however with patience and practice your muscles will soon adapt to the new shapes and positions.
I bring this up because I remember when I was first learning guitar. It was frustrating when strings I wanted to ring wouldn’t and strings I didn’t want to ring would. But I stuck with it, and little by little, day by day, I got better. Just as you will too if you stick with it. Progress often isn’t noticeable day to day, but after a few months you will look back and realize how far you’ve come. That song that gave you trouble you can now play with ease, or that bar chord that gave you trouble now sounds clean and no longer hurts your fingers.
Sticking with guitar has brought me many opportunities. Because of music I have made great friends, earned a college degree, and experienced the joy of providing music for people to dance to. I am grateful for these experiences and wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world. And the best part is that I feel like I feel like I am still just beginning my musical journey!
So welcome to Airshine Music School and to the beginning of your musical journey. I look forward to helping you reach your goals and seeing where music will take you!
